The Last Harvest

There are some artists who start with an idea and search for the perfect images to bring that idea to life.  I’m not one of those artists.

I spend a lot of time looking through vintage image sites and when I find an image I love, I save it.  Rarely do I have an idea of what I’m going to do with it.  All I know it that it spoke to me in some way and when the time is right I’ll know exactly how to use it.

Such was the case with the image below of a potter girl that I found on one of my many trips into the vast depths of the Library of Congress  website.  I loved her posture and the resignation on her face.

I have been holding onto this image for over a year…. just waiting.  Then, as I was going through the elements in the new kit Broken by Holliewood Studios her image just popped into my head.  I knew she had finally found her home.
